Hopetoun House
What a wedding! Rebecca & Connor had a relaxed Summer Stately Home Wedding. They got married at the absolutely amazing Hopetoun House. These guys laughed, smiled, and quite literally (I’m looking at you Rebecca!) bounced & danced with complete joy throughout their beautiful wedding!! Thanks so much to you both and your family & friends for being so kind & welcoming. An absolute honour to capture your day!!

Relaxed Wedding Morning
Rebecca & Connor both got ready at Dakota Hotels which is only a 10 minute drive from Hopetoun House. I love when my couples get ready so close to each other because then I get to capture both sides of the morning! Rebecca is a massive Taylor Swift fan so it was great to get the tunes on in the morning & capture her & her team having fun! Georgia Buckley & Bella Rogue were absolutely brilliant and Rebecca & her 5 bridesmaids were ready to go in plenty of time! Rebecca then put on her beautiful wedding dress (Liliana Dabic Collection at La Novia). She was expertly helped into it by Don’t Stress the Dress who did an incredible job at getting her ready. The bridesmaid dresses were from Eden Wedding Boutique and worked really well together with each bridesmaid choosing a slightly different style.
Wedding Ceremony at Hopetoun House
The guests (& bridal party) arrived in style on The Original Red Bus which looked amazing! The ceremony space at Hopetoun House is a lovely bright space and although it can seat 100+ guests it has an intimate feel to it. Wreath and Wild made an incredible flower arch for the top of the aisle in delicate pinks, blues & purples – it really was so beautiful! Rebecca looked sensational coming down the aisle and her & Connor had a wonderful ceremony.
Wedding Couple Portraits & Drinks Reception Fun
After their ceremony; Rebecca & Connor hugged & celebrated with their guests outside in the sunshine. For Rebecca & Connor’s couple portraits we started inside the house – the architect in me absolutely loves this building!! Before having a stroll around the grounds. Rebecca & Connor were so relaxed in front of the camera and I loved photographing them together! It was the first time I had worked with Olive and Thistle and I would 100% recommend. Gary was so professional, respectful & friendly and he had some great prompts for the couple shoot too! It was great seeing Cheryl Morric Studio painting portraits of guests as they enjoyed themselves. She is very talented!
Sunset Couple Portraits & Wedding Fireworks
Rebecca’s dad outdid himself by passing on a family heirloom during his speech which had Rebecca speechless and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room! After dinner I invited Rebecca & Connor outside for some more photographs as the sun dipped behind the House which gave them some time to take it all in before the party started. Rebecca booked Grant Mitchell Magician as a surprise to Connor who LOVES magic!! It was so good capturing his happy face! Rerr Terr Ceilidh Band really knew how to the ceilidh going! They had all the guests had the best time dancing before the epic fireworks. An incredible, Relaxed Summer Stately Home Wedding of two of the happiest & kindest people. A pleasure to capture!
